Frozen Meatballs, Asian Style

Asian cuisine is everyone’s favorite, but many Asian recipe favorites are a bit too time-consuming for busy weeknight meals. What if you could enjoy unique Asian flavors at home anytime without ordering out and without spending hours on prep work? You can, if you start with the best-frozen meatballs. Here are two tasty Asian-style dinners you can make this week:

Slow Cooker Thai Meatballs

One key to mastering delicious weeknight meals is your slow cooker. These Thai meatballs work great in your slow cooker, so you can spend your afternoon doing something besides making dinner. It’s almost like magic; put the ingredients in, walk away, and return to a perfect meal.

1 28-ounce package frozen Farm Rich Homestyle Meatballs

1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

2 14.5oz cans coconut milk

2 Tbsp red chili paste

4 tsp fish sauce

3 Tbsp sugar

chopped peanuts and fresh parsley for serving

Add peanut butter, coconut milk, red chili paste, fish sauce, and sugar to a 6-quart crockpot and stir to combine.

Add the frozen meatballs, stir to coat, and cook on high for 2-4 hours or low for 4-6 hours.

Open the slow cooker, stir the sauce and meatballs, and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes to thicken the sauce.

Serve meatballs with rice, pasta, or cauliflower rice.

Teriyaki Green Bean Noodle Bowls

Creating these quick and easy noodle bowls is a snap with high-quality frozen meatballs.

24 frozen Farm Rich Homestyle Meatballs

12 oz dried spaghetti or another thin noodle

1/2 lb fresh green beans, washed, trimmed, and cut into 2-inch pieces

2 Tbsp vegetable oil

1 carrot, cut into matchsticks

1/2 cup teriyaki sauce

2 Tbsp soy sauce

2 tsp sesame oil

1/4 tsp hot pepper flakes

2 green onions, sliced

Lime wedges, sesame seeds, chopped peanuts, or sliced almonds for garnish

Cook meatballs per package instructions.

While the meatballs cook, cook pasta noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water until tender. Drain well. Add the green beans to the boiling pasta for the last 3 minutes of cooking.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet set over medium heat. Cook carrots for 2 to 3 minutes until tender.

Add teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, cooked meatballs, and noodles. Cook, tossing gently to coat, for 1 to 2 minutes or until heated through.

To serve, divide among six bowls. Sprinkle with hot pepper flakes and sliced green onions. Add lime wedges on the side. Garnish with sesame seeds, chopped peanuts, or sliced almonds.
