The Best 2 in 1 Laptop Under 300

We’ve reviewed a good number of laptops under 300 so far but we think we’ve found the #1 top laptop under 300. Take a look for yourself – this level of quality is a steal at this price.

Acer Chromebook Spin 311

The Acer Chromebook Spin 311 is a convertible laptop designed to be used in the classroom. The Chromebook has 4GB of RAM and a 32GB SSD for storage, which can be upgraded if needed. It’s powered by an Intel Celeron N3350 dual-core processor with a base speed of 1.1GHz and Turbo up to 2.4GHz with Intel Burst Technology; the chipset also consists of a Mobile Intel Apollo Lake chipset with Gen9 LP HD Graphics 500.

The Chromebook has 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 px LED back-lit IPS display (16:9 aspect ratio), and it comes with a non-detachable 10,000 mAh battery that promises a full working day of use on a single charge. The charger is a 45W USB-C unit, and there’s a microSD card reader, two USB 3.0 ports (one with always-on charging), one HDMI port (so you can connect an external display), one Ah battery with a key, one Kensington lock slot, and a headset/microphone combo jack.

As for the software, it runs Chrome OS out of the box. On top of the usual features of Google’s operating system, this particular Chromebook supports Android apps via ARC++ (Android Runtime for Chrome). That means you’ll be able to run any Android app that’s available in the Google Play Store.

The Acer Chromebook Spin 31 is1 a convertible laptop with an 11.6-inch HD touch screen IPS display, Intel Celeron N3060 dual-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.

Dell Inspiron 11 3195 Notebook

A budget laptop with a surprise inside.

Now we’re going to be having a look at the Dell Inspiron 11 3195 2-in-1 laptop/tablet hybrid. First, I will go into some of its specifications and then we’ll get straight on to the review.

Pros: – To begin, the build quality of this laptop is outstanding for its price point and it truly looks like a $600-700 laptop; – As well, the screen is good for its price point and has pretty nice viewing angles;

Cons: – The 4GB of RAM makes multi tasking taxing on it (and you’ll want to upgrade the RAM ASAP);

Verdict: I would recommend this laptop if you’re looking for a budget friendly 2-in-1 laptop for school or work and you won’t be doing too much multitasking on it.

I’ll end the article with my rating/final thoughts: I would give this laptop an 8/10 because of its build quality, screen and performance but due to RAM only being 4GB, I can’t give it a full 10/10.

HP Chromebook x360

This laptop weighs around 3.75 pounds with a total weight of 3.95 pounds, making it very lightweight and easy to move between rooms or carry on the go! This laptop starts out at 4GB ram, 40GB of storage, and a Celeron processor. This product is for anyone who does basic computing tasks such as word processing or checking email. This laptop also comes with a stylus pen so you can write notes on the touchscreen of this device! The stylus pen makes notetaking very easy and allows you to have more detailed notes than with just your finger! If you are looking for a reliable laptop that can handle basic tasks, is lightweight and doesn’t take up much room then this product is right for you.

Lenovo Chromebook C330

Lenovo’s Chromebook C330 is an unremarkable laptop, but that’s because it’s designed to be completely average. That might not sound like a compliment, but it is: the C330 occupies the perfect space between premium and cheap laptops. The Acer Chromebook 14 was too expensive for what you get, Lenovo’s own N23 Yoga Chromebook was too compromised (although I liked it), and Google’s own Pixelbook is just way too expensive.

Lenovo’s Chromebook C330 fills the gap between them all, with a decent 13-inch 1080p touchscreen, 8th generation Core i3 CPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage. This laptop’s solid build quality, good keyboard and big touchpad make it an excellent value if you want a Chromebook for everyday computing. Which makes it hard to say no.

Lenovo Chromebook C330 What I like Size and weight: Lenovo’s Chromebooks have always been on the larger side, even for a 13-inch laptop. With the C330 we’re back to more conventional sizes — it’s just 0.74 inches thick and weighs 3.5 pounds. That’s not bad for a laptop with a big, 13.3-inch 1080p touchscreen. The C330 doesn’t look huge compared to the Acer Chromebook 14 or Google’s Pixelbook; it feels like an average laptop that happens to have a much larger screen than you might be used to on smaller laptops.

Lenovo’s Chromebook C330 is an average laptop that happens to have a much larger screen than you might be used to on smaller laptops.

Build quality:

The Chromebook C330 feels extremely well-built for this price range. There’s minimal flex when you squeeze the lid, and even when I tried to pry it open with my nails (which is very satisfying) I didn’t find any gaps to wedge them into. You also get a proper full-sized keyboard with number pad, which feels great. It’s not the most tactile or clicky I’ve ever used, but it does feel much more substantial than you’d expect at this price point.

Lenovo Chromebook C330 What I don’t like Dull design: There’s nothing exciting about the C330’s aesthetics. It looks like a generic laptop, with silver plastic all around and just the Lenovo logo on the lid to hint at what you’re dealing with. The design is not unattractive by any means, but it also doesn’t catch your eye in an interesting way. The lack of flare extends to the white-and-silver color scheme, too. At least Google’s Pixelbook does a job of looking contemporary and modern, but Lenovo’s Chromebook C330 is very plain.

The lack of flare extends to the white-and-silver color scheme, too. Odd layout: The power button on this laptop is not only placed right in the center of the keyboard (which is already offset toward the arrow keys), it’s also a combination power and volume button. I’ve gotten used to touchscreen laptop volume buttons, but not on my keyboard. It’s also flush with the chassis so you can’t tell if it’s on or off unless you look closely or feel for the small nub.

Lenovo Chromebook C330 Full look

Lenovo Chromebook C330 Display, keyboard and trackpad The 1080p display on this laptop is pretty great for the most part. It’s bright enough to be visible during sunny days, with decent color but not spectacular color accuracy at best (don’t expect it to replace your desktop monitor). It’s OK for watching movies on, but I wouldn’t replace your TV with it. The C330 has a full-sized keyboard with number pad and offset arrow keys.

One thing to note is the bezels around this screen are huge, so you’re looking at about 1.75 inches of wasted space before you even turn this laptop on. Lenovo also says the bezels around this touchscreen are thinner than those on its Yoga Chromebook, so there’s still room for improvement here. On the bright side, it has a decent touchpad with left and right mouse buttons as well as dedicated Google Assistant and Home keys — which I’ve never use except accidentally when mistyping other keys.
Lenovo Chromebook C330 Speakers Just two speakers, but they sound surprisingly good for laptop speakers. The C330 has decent-sounding speakers for watching movies or listening to music. They’re not perfect — you won’t get any bass here — but it’s an improvement over your average laptop’s built-in speakers.

Lenovo Chromebook C330 Performance and battery life The Chromebook C330 is powered by an Intel Celeron N3350 CPU with 4GB of RAM. It’s not the most powerful chip around, but it does offer decent performance with snappy apps opening quickly in most cases. I played some rounds of Hearthstone with the graphics set to the basic “onboard” setting, and it ran smoothly with no lag. I also tried watching some videos on YouTube in 1080p without any problems.

Lenovo Chromebook C330 Ports It’s got all the ports you need for basic tasks, if not more. On one side of the Chromebook C330 is a USB Type-C port for charging, HDMI for connecting to an external monitor or TV and a microSD card slot. On the other side is a USB Type-A port that can be used for data transfer or charging, another USB-A port and finally a combo headphone/mic jack.

Top Laptop Under 300 Features

For the best 2 in 1 laptop under 300 reviews we recently added a review for the best Toshiba laptops under 300 after a user request and we stumbled onto something I wasn’t expecting. What is quite possibly the top laptop under 300 in terms of value for money. Now back on that review, we said the same thing – this model is not normally under $300. It’s normally more expensive than that and that price could change at any moment but at the time of writing it’s the best laptop under 300. A great package at a great deal and there’s a lot of good reviews behind it to say the same thing.

The laptop in question is the Toshiba Satellite L755-S5349. I don’t really want to post the details all over again since you can get them from Amazon or have a look at our original post on the best Toshiba laptop under 300 review. It’s worth taking a look at though, the price has been that low for a few months now but it could change and we’re going to have to keep an eye on it and remove it if the price changes. Currently, we’d say it’s the best laptops under 50 dollars.

It’s about as high power as we’ve ever seen a laptop at this price range. It’s great for general use for web browsing, it’s easily going to cope with work or studying and it’s also going to hold it’s own in the gaming arena. Now it’s not going to be running the latest games on top quality (laptops that can do that are going to cost you well over the $1000 mark) but it’s going to keep up with general use. It’s got some impressive specifications for its normal price and they’re downright phenomenal for a laptop under 300 dollars.

Normally to get this kind of quality you’re going to need to give something up or get a pre-owned laptop. Or pay more than $300 but that’s not what you’re looking for if you’re here. The only real way you can get a better deal than this is if you’re lucky enough to find a good deal in a ‘brick and mortar’ laptop store.

Normally, however, laptops being sold there are a lot more expensive than you’d find online. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better deal in store than I have online but I’m still open to the possibility of it happening. If you find a deal like this then you might get a better price for the same (or better) quality. But normally, the only advantage of getting your new laptop from a normal store is the fact you can walk home and start playing with it the same day. Although this is rarely worth getting a lower quality laptop especially since you can get fast (and usually free) delivery if you’re getting it online.
