4 Ways to Use Technology to Upgrade Your Health

The New Year is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect time to take a good hard look at your health and to see whether it’s where you’d like it to be. Our health is our most precious asset and it can be one of the first things to get put on the backburner when life is crazy. The truth is, investing in your health is one of the most important things you can do. If you’re not feeling your best, then it’s harder to show up in every other area of your life. For that reason I suggest that you add your health and fitness goals to the top of the list for your new year’s resolutions. If you need a little help to achieve your goals, keep reading to learn all the ways technology can help improve your health.

1. Health Focused Apps

We use apps every single day to help us with things from Google documents on our phones, through to apps that help us stay in touch with loved ones. It’s just logical that we would also use apps to help with our health goals. There are a number of companies like UAB Kilo Grupe that are releasing a range of apps designed to tackle some of our most challenging health concerns. One of the most popular apps by Kilo Grupe is the Klinio app which can help manage diabetes management. If you know someone with diabetes or have it yourself, then you know how complicated and overwhelming proper care can be, so any app that helps make it easier does a lot to improve the quality of life of the user. If diabetes is something you’re not struggling with, they also have applications for fasting, cardiovascular health, keto lifestyle, and so much more.

2. A Smart Watch

Smart watches can be a great way to track key aspects of your health and fitness. You can use them for time runs, bicycle rides, or how long you walk for. You can use them to see the total number of steps you do, how your heart rate is during your exercise and to try to achieve activity goals. You can also track your sleep, the quality of it, how many wake ups you have and so forth. All this information allows you to paint a clearer picture of where your health is and it also helps you have some measurable things you can change with health focused goals.

3. Intelligent Scales

If your goals include weight management or body compensation changes, then smart scales can be a wonderful tool in helping you achieve your goals and also in having motivation. Smart scales will allow you to see how much fat, water and muscle you have in your body. This information will be sent to your phone and stored in an application where you can easily view and monitor any changes. You can then compare this data to the changes you’ve made in your lifestyle and see what works best for your body.

4. A Sound Machine

I first discovered sound machines when we had our first child. We used one to help block out sounds and to help our baby sleep better. As we room shared, we quickly found ourselves relying on the sound machine to sleep. So when the baby moved out of our room, we ended up buying a sound machine to help us sleep! There are plenty of different types at different price points, but they all work by playing a noise blocking sound that helps drown out sounds from outside such as cars or trains passing by, birds, dogs, or whatever might be noisy near where you live. I find that when I use a sound machine I sleep deeper and don’t wake up as often, which improves my health overall.

Upgrading your health can feel challenging, but I hope these tips inspire you to use technology to help improve your quality of life.
